The Truth

“I like your Christ. I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ.”
-Mahatma Ghandi

Jesus Christ is not your fire insurance policy. He’s not your pinch runner, He’s not your sideline, He’s not an opiate, He’s not a fair weather friend, and He’s most certainly not dead.

Jesus Christ is alive, and He is the Savior this world desperately needs. He showed us what love looks like when He laid down His life for us- His friends (John 15:13). It’s time Christians today put Jesus back on the throne where He rightfully belongs. We barely survive as humans; we make terrible gods (Isaiah 55:8). It’s time we show the world who Jesus really is.

You cannot have one foot in both Heaven and Hell. You’re either in or out. Lukewarm hearts make Jesus neauseous. They do nothing for this world but get in the way and set a bad example. It’s time we stop sitting on fences and ask the Holy Spirit to set our hearts on fire for Jesus (Romans 12:11). We are called to show ourselves an example to all who believe in speech, conduct, love, faith and purity (1 Timothy 4:12)!

I’m so disheartened by the number of people that wear the name of Jesus as a shield, an escape from the fiery pits of hell, and an excuse to do whatever they want without consequences or retribution. There will always be consequences. God cannot be mocked (Galatians 6:7).

Throw off your bondage. Throw off your spirit of despondency, your spirit of complacency. Shake the dust off your heels and stand FIRM! For ALL those with ears to hear, let them hear (Mark 4:9)! Most importantly, throw off your pride, and instead put on love (Colossians 3:14). You were created for such a time as this, don’t waste another minute (Esther 4:14).

Souls can do so much and reach so many when they’re wholly devoted to a Heavenly cause. Don’t lose heart, greater is He who is in you than He who is in the world (1 John 4:4). Keep speaking the truth. Push back the darkness. Fight the good fight. Overcome. And most importantly, show the love of Jesus Christ to a world that desperately needs to see it.

“Anyone who knows the good they ought to do and doesn’t do it, sins.” James 4:17
